PSHE/RSE
Throughout our pupils’ experiences at Fulfen, PSHE underpins everything we do. It aims to prepare pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. In addition, we promote the spiritual, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils. We feel it is vital that pupils know their human, physical and sexual rights, how to protect themselves and others and where to go to for help, in order to keep them happy and safe. As well as their emotional and physical well-being, we also promote their personal and economic well-being too.
Children learn through practical sessions, discussions and debates, role play and from visiting speakers. We use local information and pupil voice to shape their learning and match their needs. This vital subject enables pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes required to manage their lives. We aim to keep them healthy, safe and prepared for work and life in modern Britain.
Our subject policy and a detailed curriculum map and progression document can be found at the bottom of this page.
