Year 6 Trip to Birmingham Central Mosque

On Monday 20th November, Year 6 made their way into the centre of Birmingham to visit a mosque. They were especially excited because they had heard that Malala frequently visited that very place!

On arrival, we took off our shoes and were taken into the main prayer room. Our guide (whose name was Hatib) did a fantastic job of answering any of our questions and introducing us to the purpose of the Mosque and the five pillars of Islam. 

Pupils represented the school brilliantly and were full of lots of interesting questions. We learned such a lot!
