Remembrance Week

The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring lots of Poppies this week.

They especially loved creating their very own Remembrance Day Poppy biscuit. 

The children mixed sugar and water to create icing sugar and realised they had to add food colouring to make it red! They then used a spoon to pour and spread the icing sugar onto their biscuit and used a chocolate button for the middle - yummy yummy! 

We also had lots of discussions around why we wear poppies and why they are important - the children asked some brilliant questions!
