Planting For Polio.
On Friday 13th October, pupils from Year 6 were fortunate to have the opportunity to help The Burntwood Rotary Club raise awareness for the battle against polio. Rotary have contributed more than £2.2 billion and countless volunteer hours to try and beat these terrible disease and so we were more than happy to help!
Pupils planted rows of crocus bulbs at the front of school that will, over time, bloom into beautiful flowers, reminding us of those we have lost to polio and the ongoing battle.
Thank you to all those pupils who took part and thank you to the Rotary club for the bulbs and their time!
