Maths

In maths this half term, we are working on Addition and Subtraction.  Click on the links below and work through each activity.  You should aim to do one activity a day to keep those skills simmering!  If you’ve completed all of these activities (or if you just want an extra challenge), then try out some of the problems in the ‘maths challenges’ document at the bottom of the page.

These activities are extra to what we are doing in school:

Subtracting 2-digit numbers

Adding and subtracting 2-digit and 1-digit numbers

Adding multiples of 10 to a 3-digit number

Adding multiples of 10 to a 3 digit number

Subtracting multiples of 10 from a 3 digit number

Adding or subtracting multiples of 100 to a 3 digit number

Don't forget to look at the extra document below for some extra maths challenges!

English

We are writing stories based on the The Stone Age Boy.  This unit from Oak Academy provides lessons of a similar content and skills learnt using the story of The Happy Prince.

Topic

In our topic this half term, we are looking Prehistoric Britain.

Perhaps you could research all about the Stone Age: find out about what tools Stone Age man used, what kind of food they ate, or how they lived their lives. You could create a display piece for the classroom. Look at Seesaw for some ideas.

Here's some lessons similar to what we will be learning in class:

How do we know about Prehistoric Britain?

Which animals lived in Prehistiric Britain?

What were the different periods in the Stone Age?
