School Council

The school council consists of twelve representatives – one child from each Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 class. The children were elected by their class members and will be on the council for one academic year. We have also added a new post to the council - that of a clerk who will take minutes at the meetings.

We meet every other Wednesday during assembly time to discuss any issues that have been brought to us by pupils and staff.   Each councillor has the opportunity to chair meetings if they wish to do so.

The role of the councillors is to represent the other pupils in the school, presenting their ideas, concerns and opinions at regular council meetings.  They then share news and information about new initiatives and important achievements with the rest of the school.

Another aim of the council is to raise funds for the school and for charity.

The current council is very enthusiastic and very keen to be involved with school life.
