What's your shoe size?

In maths this week, Year 1 have explored how to find the difference between two numbers. So, the children worked as a class to calculate the difference between numbers using their fingers and number lines.

However, things got extremely interesting when we decided to find the difference between our shoe size! Children took off their shoes, wrote the shoe size on a post it note and compared it with everyone else in the class (even Miss Pretty's shoe size)!

They thoroughlly enjoyed this active learning and we hope that it was a memorable experience for the children.
